To sum it all up, Vancouver was hot, full of "HOUSEKEEPING" moments, stealing keycards and getting sprayed in the face by a sprinkler, late night slurpee runs, getting "stuck" in an elevator, finding notes underneath the door, taking creeper photos, trying to include Rico in every picture, prepping for our food club, perfecting that group shot, watching killer seagulls attack, petting a giant dog (and not the drug dog this time), spending almost an hour in a photobooth doing fob poses, waking up to alien ringtones, loyalty, wishing we lived in the Sheraton, watching a boy cream himself, hearing everyone snore, skee ball, half thrifting, running: amazing race style, walking 1000 blocks in the span of 4 days, photo finger illusions, discussing why trains go choo choo, not silencing words with silent letters. I would do it all over again. But next summer, we're east coasting it.

I did a horrible job at documenting my outfits worn on the trip. It was ridiculously hot the first three days, and the last day I basically wore my pjs to Richmond. Attractive, I know. So use your imagination.

You know you're from the prairies when you can't leave the harbour without satisfying your cravings for a hamburger made with 100% Alberta Beef.

If It Makes You Happy

I have been neglecting this blog as of late, and that in part has to do with being sick of dressing for summer weather. I'm pretty over shorts and t-shirts, and if you take a look at my closet, I honestly have no clue as to how I got through this summer without resorting to walking around naked. My only dilemma now is finding a good boot to walk around campus in, and I'm leaning towards the cognac riding boot from Aldo. I know, going with generic crap tends to please me these days. Along with anything leopard, oversized, and from the 80s.

A couple weeks back, I asked my friend Erica to paint my converse hi-tops with Nintendo characters (yeah, I'm secretly a nerd and can kick your ass in Mario Kart). She is a crazy talented second year design student at Emily Carr, and I just love her ability to create something without having to be told how to do it. Why have a boring pair of hi-tops when you can have Peach and Toad on them? Thanks Erica!

Perhaps I should have run my shoes through the washing machine prior to having them painted...oops!

Went to Drumheller with the family and Mack on the weekend. My memory of Drumheller is exactly as I remembered it. Hot, touristy and fake dinosaurs everywhere. I wanted to hike up to the top of the hoodoos, but with the +34 degree weather and the wind picking up, I'm sure I would have lost my hat. The best part was the suspension bridge and eating sushi! August 21 is Fob Day in Richmond, BC :)

Oh and I know I'm so white, but I can't tan to save my life.
