Annie and I had the pleasure of helping Malorie Urbanovitch dress backstage yesterday at Transalta. It was her first time presenting a collection at Edmonton Fashion Week, but she looked like a veteran out there. A human ecology turned film studies student, Malorie started out as a stylist for Mode Models before trying her hand at designing. Her down to earth nature showed in her spring collection, which included beautiful high-waisted trousers, big collars on crop-tops paired with fun, high-waisted skirts, and knit dresses with hand woven yarn pieces. Thank you so much to Malorie for being such a sweetheart and I hope to see you again next year at fashion week!
